It is set in the hardcore NES Style, yet refined with the latest features. This makes Unepic a very unique game. Unepic - Daniel was just an average guy. He was a great videogame player, a big fan of sci-fi movies, and a novice RPG player. In the midst of an RPG, he was teleported to a castle. At first, Daniel believed that he was having a massive hallucination. Eager to keep playing within the RPG to create his own adventure, he decides to go along for te ride until his delirium comes to an end.

Unepic is a platform game that throws the player in a castle that's very reminiscent of Konami's classic MSX game Maze of Galious. Not surprising, as the original idea was to create a sequel to the Maze of Galious. But things got out of hand and the story and game moved into a new, less standard, direction and ultimately Unepic became a fresh new game. It also draws inspiration from the Castlevania and Diablo series.
Most of the game was made by a single person, who spent two years of his free time on coding, map editing, composing, screen writing and creating graphics. Unepic has a nice retro look and feel, but runs on modern PC's and takes advantage of the updated hardware. You can check out some gameplay footage on Youtube.

UnEpic is an extremely good game which, although it is still in progress, seems very promising.
